HR Advisor

Location: Cambridge & remote (hybrid working)

Duration: 12 Months Fixed Term Contract role - salary based role

Salary: £32,332 per annum plus excellent benefits

Start: ASAP

 

We require a HR Advisor for our higher education client to be part of their School of Clinical Medicine business partnering team, which is a specialist HR team that provides a range of HR, Recruitment and Clinical Services to staff and visitors

for all the departments. You will provide operational support to ensure their client areas have excellent and responsive business partnering, resourcing and HR administrative functions. You will help to develop departmental and HR workforce plans to ensure they align with the changing operational needs and aims of the School of Clinical Medicine, HR and NHS.

You will also assist with the development of their HR policy development and other operational initiatives and support the development and implementation of the School of Clinical Medicine specific clinical policies and practices too.

You will maintain close working relationships with external stakeholders/partners on the BioMedical Campus including the NHS and other pharmaceutical clients.

Essential Skills & Experience required:

As the HR Advisor you will possess a professional CIPD qualification or equivalent (ideally Associate or Chartered)

Evidence of on-going personal and professional development.

A HR Professional with some experience in either a generalist or specialist environment, including operational exposure to application of employment law, case management and organisational change management

Line Management

Dealing with HR queries

Evidence of supporting casework

Able to advise and influence others

Coach and support colleagues on routine issues 

Analyse problems and identify root cause and develop a range of solutions

Evidence of having planned work over short to medium term to include contributing to project deliverables

Can take responsibility for planning your own work and delivering to time and quality

Able to present information verbally through the use of formal presentation tools

Experienced in undertaking project work including conducting basic research and collating information

 

Desirable would be any previous experience of working for an NHS Trust/Body or Medical School

and/or any knowledge or understanding of key NHS issues, including those at national level and the ability to establish local policy drivers
