Job Title: Infrastructure Specialist
Location: Manchester (Hybrid)
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Rate: £525 per day
Start Date: Mid-late January
End Date:- April 2025 - option to extend
We’re looking for a skilled Infrastructure Specialist for my clients team who operate within the Public Sector. You’ll take a lead role in managing and optimizing our IT infrastructure, with a focus on Microsoft technologies, cloud platforms, and network security. If you’re passionate about creating efficient, secure, and scalable systems, we’d love to hear from you!
What You’ll Bring
Here’s what we’re looking for in an ideal candidate:
Must-Have Skills:
- Certified with Microsoft – proof of expertise is essential.
- PowerShell Wizardry – show us what you can do with scripting and automation.
- Windows Server & Active Directory Pro – deep knowledge and hands-on experience are a must.
- Microsoft Tech Know-How – strong experience with Intune, Exchange Online, Office 365, and Azure Active Directory.
- Cybersecurity Savvy– solid skills in configuring anti-malware tools, firewalls, intrusion detection, and vulnerability scanners.
- Azure Infrastructure Experience – capable of planning, configuring, optimising, and managing hybrid cloud environments with Microsoft Azure.
- Proven Track Record – hands-on experience with patch management, system monitoring, and maintaining business continuity through infrastructure changes.
Bonus Skills:
- SQL Server Proficiency – experience with always-on availability groups is a big plus.
- Telecommunications Expertise – experience configuring office communications systems.
- VMware vSphere Rockstar – a solid background in large, complex virtual environments.
- Azure Certification – another tick in your favor!
