The role

We are looking for an experienced 
SITS developer to join the Corporate and Academic Systems team within Exeter IT, contributing towards and leading the delivery, development, implementation and support of the University’s student records systems.

Responsible for the implementation, maintenance, configuration and support of these systems, you will have considerable experience of enterprise applications in a higher education environment, including extensive demonstrable experience of student records systems.

You will provide technical leadership to the student records team, supporting the development and continuous improvement of an innovative and customer focussed service, helping the team to produce greater consistency and efficiency through the use of standard procedures, processes and use of systems.

The role will require you to work with the Design and Operations teams within Exeter IT, as well as with our software suppliers.

This is a full-time post offering the opportunity for hybrid working.

You

You will have proven experience of leading the implementation of, and providing support for, student records systems, in a Higher Education setting. Demonstrating strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to quickly establish effective relationships with colleagues and wider stakeholders, you will have excellent communication, planning and organisation skills.

With an understanding of the software development lifecycle, you will have a willingness to learn, be flexible and adaptable, and have the ability to work in a team environment. You should be passionate about new IT and Digital technologies and promote and be an advocate for the universitys IT & Digital strategies.

You will be a personable, self-starter who has a proven track record of working collaboratively, sharing knowledge, and mentoring colleagues. You will be educated to degree level or have equivalent industry experience.
