Certes partners with YoungMinds as their Charity of the year

Certes is excited to announce that their charity of the year is YoungMinds. With a wide range of charities to choose from, Certes has chosen YoungMinds due to the increase in mental health within the younger generation, and the work Certes do within the higher education sector, therefore it was a perfect match.

About YoungMinds

YoungMind’s mission is to ensure that all young people get the best possible support and have the resilience to overcome life’s challenges. Everything they do is about fighting for change – whether that’s in policy, in practice or in understanding. Everything they do is grounded in the real experiences they hear about from the young people they work with, the parents who call their helpline or the professionals they train and support.

There is currently a mental health crisis for children and young people. These include stress at school, bullying, body image issues and the pressure created by social media. Difficult experiences in childhood can have a major impact on mental health.

YoungMinds understand that how hard it can be for young people and parents to gain access to support from specialist mental health services, therefore they have created helplines to give advice and support when needed. Please visit the YoungMinds website for more information.

Certes Fund-Raising Goals

Certes aims to fund raise £5k for YoungMinds, through a wide range of events without the year. This includes their #HelloYellow day which is a fundraising and awareness day that takes place each year on World Mental Health Day in October. Certes has also introduced a companywide scheme where every sale placed at Certes, a donation will be paid on behalf of the company.
