As an experienced OAS Developer and report/dashboard author, you will provide subject matter expertise to the reporting team during a technology transformation provided by the prime contractor.

Job Description

To provide Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) technical support, maintenance and development activities on a large enterprise data warehouse reporting application. Additionally, the job holder will provide:-

• Service Operational support of a large enterprise reporting application, working within an ITIL aligned service management framework.
• As part of a resolver team, respond efficiently and effectively to service tickets raised.
• Work closely with the contractor resources and technical teams to ensure coherent and effective solutions are developed.
• Undertake service improvements with fully documented responses to new business requirements, problem remediation and improvement activities.
• Develop full software capabilities (OAS) with full testing and deployment, whilst making use of waterfall and agile methodologies.

Required Skills

Essential:

• OBIEE/OAS Development skills across all aspects of the semantic layer (RPD) on mixed and federated data sources (OLAP & OLTP).
• Production support of large-scale enterprise Oracle BI implementations within an ITIL aligned service management framework.
• Good relational Database skills (Oracle preferred) – DML, SQL, PL-SQL, DDL, performance and schema objects.
• Creation of Functional and Technical Design documentation from User Requirements, which will effectively convey meaning to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Performance tuning of dashboards & reports across all technical layers – RPD, BI Server, Data Model, Database.
• Unit Testing, Integration Testing, Regression Testing, System Testing, Performance Testing.
• Data modelling – Dimensional, Star Schema, OLAP, ROLAP, OLTP.
• OBIEE/OAS content creation – Dashboards, Analyses, Reports, Agents, Data Visualisation – able to make best use of the product capabilities.
• OBIEE/OAS web catalog administration.
• Full software development lifecycle; design, develop, test, deploy, support.

Desirable:

• OBIEE/OAS product installation, maintenance, scaling, performance tuning, upgrading.
• Data modelling across OLTP, OLAP, ETL transformation layers.
• Database Administration.
• ETL Technologies; e.g. Informatica PowerCenter, ODI
• Oracle EBS R12 functional and technical.

Experience:

Essential:

• Varied project delivery experience with OBIEE/OAS technologies across the full software development lifecycle.
• OBIEE/OAS Dashboard, Report and Analyses Development.
• Requirements gathering, business analysis, technical and functional documentation.
• Proficient in Waterfall and Agile development practises and keep abreast with current changes in technology.
• Security cleared to SC level (or be willing to undergo required clearances)

 

Desirable:

• Deployments of Oracle BI Apps using large scale ERP sources.
• ETL Development using Informatica or ODI.
