Hybrid working arrangement – Your work may require a minimal presence in the office (Brighton), but after that the working from home / office balance is up to you.

Role

Industry equivalent role title: Senior Test Analyst. 

To oversee and lead testing projects before they are released to the organisation and to ensure it is free from defects

·Act as the point of contact for a designated project(s) from a testing perspective.

·Provide testing estimates for projects.

·Identify and write tests for software to verify its functionality.

·Peer review tests to provide feedback to peers.

·Prepare test data against testing scenarios to cover all possible outcomes. 

·Run tests against software to make sure there are no defects and changes that were made are working in line with the specification.

·Conduct regression testing to ensure areas that were previously working are maintained.

·Raise defects against issues found during the testing process.

·Prepare and execute the testing plan for the project.

Essential and Desirable Skills

Essential skills:

·Strong knowledge and understanding of testing techniques, standards, methodologies, and best practice gained in a software development or testing environment. 

·Extensive knowledge and experience of the end-to-end software testing process gained through practical experience.

·Strong practical experience of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and defect management processes.

·Strong working knowledge of test management tools e.g., Test Rail, HP ALM, MS Azure DevOps.

·Database Knowledge (Basic SQL skills/Good Understanding of DB architecture).

·Experience of agile, waterfall, V-model delivery methodologies.

·Ability to communicate clearly with Project teams to raise issues and concerns regarding the software.  Ability to communicate test progress, test results and any identified risks.

·Proven Test Analyst skills.

·Strong Test Lead skills.

Desirable skills:

·3rd level degree in Computing / Information Technology (e.g., BSc, minimum 2:2) or equivalent experience.

·ISTQB / ISEB Qualified to Intermediate Level.
