Certes is a living wage employer

By . December 20, 2018

In 2016 the government introduced the National Living Wage - while this pay rise for low-paid workers is welcome, it is not a Living Wage as it isn't calculated based on actual living costs.

The real Living Wage is the only UK wage rate that is voluntarily paid by over 4,400 UK businesses who believe their staff deserve a fair day's pay for a hard day's work. Certes are proud to announce that we have joined the ranks. The wellbeing of our employees is one of our top priorities - we believe that providing the living wage is not a bonus, an "incentive" or something to boost the image of Certes.

It is something we do because of our conviction that Certes is the sum total of all our employees, and they deserve to be paid in line with the real costs of living in the UK.

Alongside this accreditation, we have also launched a company-wide employee engagement scheme to celebrate teamwork, achievement and fun. From monthly pizza lunches to team outings, monthly awards and more, we are building a place that we want to go to everyday and where we all want to give our best.
